Bialetti began in Italy when Alfonso Bialetti created the Moka Express coffee maker and they have been crafting cooking innovations for more than a century since then. Bialetti baking stones are designed to be the perfect cooking surfaces for pizza, bread, biscuits, cookies and other baked goods. It is made of ceramic which will absorb the extra moisture and distribute heat evenly to bake a crisp, light pizza crust. It also works well for reheating frozen pizzas. The stone will retain heat for hours so you can keep the food warm while serving.
Bialetti Pizza Stone Review
Bialetti sells their pizza stones in sets that usually includes other pizza making products such as peels, cutters or racks. The four piece pizza stone set includes a 15-inch pizza stone, rack, pizza peel and a pizza cutter. The 15-inch round ceramic stone will heat the pizza crust evenly while absorbing extra moisture.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Bialetti Pizza Stones. There are too many reports of the stones cracking after two or three uses. These stones do include a 5-year warranty and Bialetti will happily replace the stone if it cracks but we feel that it is not worth the effort. If you are on a tight budget and need a cheap pizza stone, then by all means purchase a Bialetti pizza stone as they are extremely affordable but be aware that there are issues with cracking.
